Ryan Harbert
I offer Focusing and deep experiential listening online, primarily with men who are living with something that has resisted their best efforts to change it.
Staying with what is there
I’m interested in what happens when a person has enough room to notice their own experience without having to correct it immediately. That can include places we would much rather leave behind. We can listen to those places without agreeing with everything they say or giving up the hope of change.
Focusing gives this attention a practice. It begins with the felt, bodily sense of a situation, including what we do not yet have words for. I work alongside you, rather than applying a ready-made interpretation to your life.
I am a Focusing practitioner, not a psychotherapist. This work can sit alongside therapy or other forms of support.
